Following the Government’s initial advice in March regarding social distancing, we cancelled all church meetings and groups until further notice, a decision made with a heavy heart, but later consolidated by the Government’s lockdown measures. Since that time we have been providing online services each Sunday along with midweek talks, using our YouTube channel (Malpas Road Evangelical Church); these have been a real blessing at a difficult time.

As lockdown measures have eased, our position has been under constant review, balancing the desire to be together with the need to be wise and minimise risk, particularly to the vulnerable. With that in mind, we are planning to re-open the church building for public services commencing Sunday 4th October 2020, albeit with restrictions and reduced capacity. We have produced the below Church risk assessment document, Young People’s risk assessment document and risk assessment report for your attention and consideration. Our position has always been, and will continue to be, in line with guidance for churches from the Welsh Government. Please watch the following video to further explain our position.

This is a time of real uncertainty and concern, so please get in touch via our website or Facebook page if you would like to chat, pray or require help in practical tasks.
